Care Home Open Week is a national initiative that connects care homes with their communities, breaks down misconceptions about care, and celebrates the incredible work of care professionals across the UK. Held annually, this week encourages care homes to open their doors, host activities, and invite the public to learn more about the vibrant lives of residents and the rewarding careers in social care.
Care Home Open Week will take place from 16th–22nd June 2025.

This year, Care Home Open Week 2025 is proud to partner with Music for Dementia to celebrate our theme: The Power of Music.
Music has the incredible ability to uplift, connect, and spark joy—especially for those living with dementia. Through this special collaboration, we’re encouraging care homes to explore how music can enhance wellbeing and bring people together.
From sing-alongs and live performances to silent discos and reminiscence sessions, music will take centre stage during the week.
Sign up by 24th April 2025 to receive a FREE Music Activity Pack, courtesy of Music for Dementia.
The pack includes practical resources and ideas to help you create meaningful, inclusive musical experiences for residents, staff, and visitors alike.
Don't miss this chance to make Care Home Open Week even more memorable through the universal language of music!
